NICCOLO CASAS - ITALIAN PAVILION @ VENICE ARCHITECTURE BEINNALE

“Plasticity,” as it’s called, taps into the problem of plastic pollution, and is a collaboration between Parley for the Oceans and Italian architect Niccolo Casas. Casas created a 3D-printed sculpture, with the help of design brand Nagami, entirely out of ocean plastic gathered from remote islands and coastlines, as part of Parley’s Global Cleanup Network.

HYPERLOOP HUB - PRANAV GHADASHI

The Hyperloop Urban Hub by Pranav A Ghadashi
Thesis design project 2021 for Master Of Architecture degree
Exploring the emerging Potentials Of Urban Infrastructure

"The future is bright, uncompromising and unstoppable! Technology is progressing at accelerating rates. Cities are experiencing a resurgence in population growth, which in turn is pushing transport systems to expand and improve.
"The thesis intends to design a portal that will introduce a new paradigm of transport, reconfigure the urban infrastructure and the mental mapping of a city and thus reshape our habitual understanding of distance and proximity.
"It proposes a hyperloop station that reconfigures the concept of 'regional becoming the new local'. It embraces the potential of transport and explores innovative sustainable strategies integrating the natural environment and urban functions."

NFT DIGITAL HOUSE - $500,000

Toronto-based artist Krista Kim has sold the first NFT-backed digital home for over half a million dollars, as interest in virtual design continues to grow. Named Mars House, the digital home designed by Kim was sold on non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace SuperRare for 288 Ether ($512,000), a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin. Based on blockchain technology, NFTs act as digital certificates of ownership and enable digital artworks or designs to be bought, sold and collected. Described by SuperRare as "the first NFT digital house in the world", Mars House is a 3D digital file that can be experienced in virtual reality.
